PIV.07.a1 Pineoblastoma (MT x100). Highly cellular tumour composed of small, round, poorly differentiated cells. Frequent mitoses are common. Certain tumours contain fibrillary Homer-Wright rosettes (medulloblastic) or hollow Flexner rosettes (retinoblastic) or even "fleurettes" (rosettes composed of cells with a large process that ends in a bulbous mass), which denote differentiation into photoreceptor organs.
